COOKED MEAT MEDIUM
Cooked Meat Medium is a non-selective medium used for anaerobe stock culture maintenance, subculture of pathogenic Clostridia species and as an enrichment medium for recovering low populations of obligate anaerobes. Heart Muscle, Peptone, and ‘Lab Lemco’ Powder provide nitrogenous sources like amino acids, peptides, and vitamins. Glucose is the fermentable carbohydrate and Sodium Chloride maintains the osmotic balance.
